Four New Marvel SH Figuarts
This week Bluefin – the US Distribution arm of Bandai-Namco – announced new figures for Marvel SH Figuarts on their Facebook page. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m pumped. Tamashii Nations stands out as a clear winner (to me, at least) in the quality action figure realm, and their SH Figuarts line is the cream of the crop there. This announcement is especially exciting because it came the same week I learned about Funko releasing a diorama of the Shawarma scene.
Bluefin announced four new figures: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk. Obviously, the four best Avengers Marvel created.
Bandai is calling these figures the “Avengers Assemble Edition”. As of this writing, it doesn’t look like they’re available for preorder on Amazon yet. There’s also nothing to be found on Bluefin’s own website. So for now, we sit tight until retailers catch up to Bluefin’s marketing team announcements.
Figures Arrive “First Half of 2021”
The announcement post said “coming your way in the first half of 2021,” so it may still be a few months before we get them physically. They followed the announcement post up with separate posts for each figure and gave more specific timelines:
- Captain America: Shipping May, 2021
- Iron Man: Shipping May, 2021
- Thor: Shipping May, 2021
- The Incredible Hulk: Shipping June, 2021 (sorry Hulk fans)
Time To Make Room On The Shelf
I have several Tamashii Nations figures, including a few Marvel SH Figuarts figures. I absolutely love my Hulk figure from Thor: Ragnarok. It sits among my other favorites on a shelf behind my home-office desk. And my Hulkbuster (too big to fit on the shelf) is also a delight. Both of these figures have instilled in me an appreciation for the quality of Bandai’s action figure line and I’m really looking forward to seeing these new Avengers Assemble Edition figures as well.
Even if I have to wait another 6 months to get them.
