Terms and Conditions
Effective date: October 30, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Trent Ventures LLC, doing business as GameOnOver. In these Terms, "GameOnOver", "we" and "us" mean Trent Ventures LLC.
These Terms apply to your use of the GameOnOver website at gameonover.com and the GameOnOver web app at app.gameonover.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy at gameonover.com/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service (beta)
GameOnOver helps board game and tabletop RPG players find each other and meet up in person. Hosts create events, and players find events and RSVP to them. Users can also message each other, join group chats called Tables, post to a Community feed and rate each other after events.
The Service is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable at times. We do not guarantee that any feature will stay available.
GameOnOver is a platform. We do not host, organize or supervise events, and we are not a party to any arrangement between users.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be 18 or older to create an account or use GameOnOver. We do not run an age check or ask for proof of age. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
Children do not hold accounts. Events can be marked No kids, Kids welcome or Kid focused. Kids welcome and Kid focused events are for adult users who bring children with them under their own supervision.
Any child may attend an event only with their own parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must be present and actively supervising the child for the entire event. There is no drop-off. A parent or guardian must never leave a child with the host or with other attendees.
The parent or guardian is solely responsible for the child's safety and conduct. GameOnOver does not screen, supervise or run events. Hosts and attendees do. See section 11 for more.
Kid focused events can be created only by Plus and Pro hosts, and by admins. They may list a free-text age range. The host writes the age range, and we do not check it.
4. Accounts
To create an account you provide an email address, a password and a display name, and you confirm your email through a link we send you.
You agree to:
- give accurate information
- keep your password secure
- be responsible for everything that happens under your account
- keep only one account for yourself
You must tell us at help@gameonover.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
5. Host identity verification
To create events, a host must pass an identity document check run by Stripe. The check is run by Stripe, not by us. We receive only the result of the check.
Passing this check means only that Stripe completed a document check for that person. It is not a background check. It does not mean we or Stripe have vetted a host's character, conduct, home or event, and it is not a guarantee of safety. Hosts can choose to limit an event to verified players.
6. Events and RSVPs
Hosts can make events public or invite only. Hosts can also invite people by email, including people who do not yet have an account. Hosts set details such as the game, time, location, number of attendees and kids policy.
Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of what they post and for running their events. Players are responsible for deciding whether to attend an event.
The location a host types is shown exactly as typed to anyone who can see the event. This includes invite pages and map pins. We do not hide or approximate locations. If a host types a home address, everyone who can see the event will see it. Hosts should think carefully about what they enter.
Players and hosts can rate each other after events, and average ratings are shown. You can delete your own RSVPs.
7. Paid RSVPs and platform fees
Some hosts on the Pro plan can charge for RSVPs. To do this, a host connects a Stripe Connect Express account. Payment for a paid RSVP goes to the host's Stripe account. GameOnOver keeps a platform fee for each attendee.
Stripe processes these payments, and Stripe's own terms apply to them. The host is responsible for the event they charge for. We are not responsible for events or for disputes between hosts and attendees.
8. Subscriptions and billing
GameOnOver has a free Standard plan, which allows one active hosted event for verified hosts. Two paid plans are available:
- Plus is $19.99 per year.
- Pro is $49.99 per year.
Plus and Pro unlock additional hosting features. Plus includes recurring event series and Kid focused events. Pro includes everything in Plus, multiple active events and paid RSVPs. We may change plans, features and prices in the future.
Billing. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe Checkout. A processing fee of 4.7% is added to the subscription price. Promo codes may be accepted at checkout.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically every year until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method each year.
Cancellation. There is no in-app cancel screen today. To cancel, email help@gameonover.com. Once canceled, your access continues until the end of the current paid period and then ends.
Refunds. The app has no refund process today, and we do not promise refunds. You can send a refund request to help@gameonover.com. We may decline it. This also applies to questions about a paid RSVP.
9. User content and responsibility
"User content" means anything you post or send through the Service. This includes display names, bios, event details, comments, Community posts, messages, ratings and game submissions.
You are responsible for your user content. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to host, store and display it as needed to run the Service. Other users can see some of your content. Community posts are visible to other users, and event details are visible to anyone who can see the event.
Messages and Table chats are not moderated. You can delete your own Community posts and RSVPs.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or encourage others to do so
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or harm other users
- impersonate any person or give false information about yourself or your events
- post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive
- collect other users' information without their permission
- send spam or unwanted promotions
- interfere with or attempt to break the Service or its security
- use the Service to arrange anything other than lawful in-person gaming meetups
- bring a child to an event that is marked No kids
11. In-person meetups, safety and assumption of risk
Meeting people in person carries real risk. Many events happen in private homes. Please read this section carefully.
Children at events. Any child attends an event only with their own parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must be present and actively supervising the child for the entire event. There is no drop-off. The parent or guardian must never leave the child with the host or with other attendees. The parent or guardian is solely responsible for the child's safety and conduct and assumes the risks of bringing the child. GameOnOver does not screen, supervise or run events. Hosts and attendees do. We do not check anyone's age and we do not run background checks. The Stripe Identity document check for hosts is not a background check and does not screen for child safety. The disclaimers in section 14 and the limitation of liability in section 15 apply to any child brought to an event.
Here is what GameOnOver offers today:
- Hosts must pass a Stripe Identity document check to create events.
- Hosts can limit events to verified players.
- Players and hosts can rate each other after events.
Here is what GameOnOver does not offer:
- background checks
- emergency features
- a way to report or block other users
- moderation of messages
You can email concerns to help@gameonover.com, but we do not promise to respond in any particular way or to take any action.
You attend events at your own risk. You are responsible for your own conduct and safety, including deciding whether to share your location, whether to attend an event, and whom to meet. You assume all risks of attending events and meeting other users, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not control, supervise or guarantee the conduct of any user or the condition of any location.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, and their terms and policies may apply to you:
- Supabase provides account sign-in, our database and real-time features.
- Stripe handles subscription payments, paid RSVPs, host identity checks and host payout accounts.
- Vercel hosts the Service.
- Mapbox provides maps and turns location text into map points.
- Resend sends emails.
- Amazon is the destination of affiliate links, as described below.
We are not responsible for the services, content or practices of third parties. See our Privacy Policy at gameonover.com/privacy for more about how data is handled.
13. Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate GameOnOver earns from qualifying purchases. Some links to games may be affiliate links. The app does not send any user data to Amazon. Amazon may set its own cookies when you click a link. What Amazon does after you click is governed by Amazon's own terms and policies.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error free. We do not promise that any event will take place as described or that any user is who they say they are. We do not endorse any user, host, event or user content, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of ratings.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GameOnOver, Trent Ventures LLC and its owners, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. We are also not liable for any loss of profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
We are not liable for anything that happens at or because of an in-person event, including injury, death, property damage, theft or the conduct of any user or host.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms, put others at risk or misused the Service. We may also change or discontinue the Service.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue. These include the sections on user content, assumption of risk, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law.
17. Account deletion
There is no self-serve account deletion today. To delete your account, email help@gameonover.com.
Deleting an account removes the profile and the content connected to it, such as events you host, RSVPs, ratings, friendships, messages and posts. Records held by Stripe are held by Stripe under its own terms and are not removed by deleting your account with us. If you have a subscription, ask to cancel it in the same email.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
20. Contact
Questions about these Terms, cancellations, refund requests and account deletion requests go to help@gameonover.com.
